Terms and Conditions

We try to keep these to a minimum, but certain points must be adhered to in order to provide safety and fairness for all.
1)   All new pupils require a form to be filled in  to give details of their full name, age/DOB, address, telephone number (home, mobile and emergency contact), email address and any special requirements such as medical, diet or otherwise. Please fill this in and return it to your child's class teacher ASAP. Please keep us updated should you move house, or if any of your contact numbers change. This will ensure that if a class has to be cancelled, for bad weather for example, we can contact you and prevent your wasted journey.
2)   Please understand that one terms notice in writing is required should you wish your child to leave a class. Or, in the absence of this notice being given in writing, one term's fees will become payable.
This is to protect the work of each of the individual Performing Arts companies working on a specific production, as constant recasting can disrupt the work of those committed to the production.
It is also necessary in order to keep fees at a competitive level. By being able to plan ahead financially, lower operating costs can be achieved and therefore passed on through reasonable fees for everyone.

Please be aware that all local festival entry costs, scripts, music and most costumes are provided within the termly fees. There are also generous sibling discounts on Company classes, please enquire when booking your children's places. The Academy is committed to enabling access to high quality classes  for as wide a number of families as possible.
3)   Fees for all classes become due on the first day of term, or, by indication on the invoice slip, in half termly instalments. Please return the slip with your payment in cash or by cheque ( payable to Toni Hassan ) indicating your preference. Please write your child's name and class(es) taken on the back of the cheque.
4)   All lent costumes/shoes/head dresses etc should be returned promptly in a clean and usable condition i.e. please repair any damage. But DO NOT wash the net on ballet dresses just rinse through the Lycra sections. Failure to fulfil these conditions will incur a replacement fee of 30 pounds per item.
5)   All Company members are required to purchase an Act II tee shirt; an optional hooded jacket is also available. Both items are available on request at reasonable cost from the Academy. Company members should wear these items with black trousers/leggings, black soft soled dance shoes or plimsolls to each class.
6)   Please note - If you wish to send a relative, friend or carer to collect your child from class or a show, they must be previously introduced to your child's teacher. If this is not done, the child will necessarily stay with the teacher until you can verify the person's identity. We are sure you will understand why this vital measure is in place as it will protect everyone's safety. In an emergency please ring us, or the venue to explain.
